Week - 10
WEEK 10 - Prototype test feedback
Testing approach
Before the user testing,
I plan to use the questionnaire to collect testing data.
Gender is the most important information
because different gender would have
different thinking pattern and testing experience.
Sometimes, emotion would impact on
the user experience as well,
so the second general question is that is
your current emotion, clamor exciting
?
?
Next, the user experiences questions
in the past would influence on
the test experience because it's
will determine whether user can easy
to adapt this interaction way and game or not.
"have you play physical interaction game before?'
"Have you built a building or city in a
game before?"After you played the
city Tetris Game, do you think it's easy to understand or not?"
Do you like this way to build a
virtual building in this game? if not, why?"
During the user testing, there are
four aspects need to be a focus on,
which are user emotional changes,
user interface impression,
game speed and game controlling.
"Could you tell me about your emotional
changes from the start to the
end of the game?"How do you
feel about the choosing interface?"
How do you feel about the size
of blocks? Small or Big?"
What do you think about the control part?
"Easy or Hard?"
Do you think the controller is easy to learn?"
Furthermore, The details of the functionality
questions when a user using makeymakey
to interact with it should be listed out
"How do you feel when you
combine blocks together?"
Are there any disadvantages when you build a building?"
Do you have any suggestion about the functionality? "
Feedback
From the user testing, each of user
has filled a questionnaire which is
mainly focused on how they feel about the physical
interaction way
when they playing the game.
1. Half of user haven't played the
physical interaction game before
so they do not have any experience
with physical interaction game and they
need a guidance or instruction before they get a start.
2.Some of the users haven't played any
a game about built a building before, so
it's not easy for them to immediately
adapt this interactive method
to control the materials in the game.
3.After teaching them how to play with
the controller, most of the user feel it's
easy to understand how to play,
but some of them think that it is too
difficult to control the object.
4.about half of them do not feel like to
build a virtual building in this game
because some of them think that it is
difficult to see the right direction through
eyes and the block are too small.
In conclusion, some suggestions have
been given, one of them suggested
me to add changing camera function
so she can change the angle to
look another angle of the object.
Some of them suggested that
I can make the controller bigger,
so they can easily press the right button.
Therefore, according to the valuation from the result,
I aim to do some further improvement.
1.I plan to change the size of the objects
2.I will reduce the control button
3.I need to improve the interactive method to allow
user easy to control
